RCMPshield_crest2Prince George E-Division Major Crime Section has continued to investigate the murder of 13 year old Adam Williams.

An evidence package was completed and forwarded to Prince George Crown Counsel. Crown Counsel has approved the charges of Failure to Provide Necessities of Life and Indignity to Human Remains against Adam’s mother, Judy Elaina Williams, aged 49, of Prince George, BC. Judy Williams was released by police and will be attending court in Prince George on February 3, 2010.

 

In June of 2009 Lloyd Cook, 50, was arrested in Oliver, BC in connection with the murder of Adam. He was charged with Manslaughter, Criminal Negligence Causing Death, Indignity to Human Remains and Forcible Confinement. At the time of the murder Judy Williams and Lloyd Cook were in a common-law relationship and were residing in Prince George.

Investigators will now work with Crown through the judicial process. If anyone has any information in connection with this case they are encouraged to contact the Provincial Unsolved Homicide Unit toll free at 1-877-543-4622.

In October 2004, a family member reported the death of Adam Williams, aged 13, to the Oliver RCMP Detachment.

The investigation has since been turned over to the E- Division Major Crime Section, who are treating the investigation as a homicide. The death of Adam Williams occurred in January of 2000 and at that time he was residing in the 7100 block of Glenview Drive in Prince George.

A suspect has been identified and investigators have completed a search in the area of the North Nechako Road in Prince George, recovering the remains of Adam Williams.
