The cottage owner reported the B&E on September 13, after returning to his cottage and finding it ransacked.  The suspects made away with a variety of items, with total estimated value of around $4,000.00. The theft occurred sometime in the latter part of August to early September.

“The wise cottage owner did recently make a sound security investment in the form of a camouflaged outdoor motion activated camera.  Unbeknownst to the suspects, their images were captured as they loaded their vehicle up the cottage owner’s property.  Theses cameras don’t cost much, many are of excellent quality and are used by animal lovers to capture photos of wildlife.  They are also useful for security purposes.  It should make thieves think twice before trespassing onto someone’s rural property,” stated Corporal Moskaluk.

“What is noteworthy and may really assist us in identifying the pair, is that they were accompanied by a motley crew of 4 canines; two Border Collies, a Golden Retriever and a Husky Malamute, all seen mulling around the vehicle. Someone will hopefully recognize the lot and give us a call, ” added Corporal Dan Moskaluk.

Anyone who can identify these individuals or who may have information regarding this theft, is asked to call the Clinton RCMP at 250- 459-2221 or for those who wish to provide information anonymously to please call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
