As the result of an investigation into missing funds from the Quesnel Lacrosse Association account, reported to Quesnel RCMP on January 7, 2009, Austin George Smith has been charged with fraud over $5,000. 

The charges are in relation to offences which occurred between January 1, 2008 and May 11, 2009.  Smith is schedule for his first appearance in court on September 29, 2009.
