100 Mile House RCMP highlights to March 22, 2010

The 100 Mile House RCMP responded to 69 complaints and calls for service over the last week. 
On March 16, 100 Mile House RCMP responded to a complaint from the 100 Mile House Hospital about an unruly patient. A male had been discharged from the hospital, but was refusing to leave and was intoxicated. The male was uncooperative with the responding officers, was arrested and lodged until sober. He was released without charges.
On March 17, a youth's bicycle turned in to the 100 Mile House detachment. Anyone missing a bicycle is asked to contact the 100 Mile House RCMP. A description and/or serial number will be required to claim the bike.
On March 18, 100 Mile House RCMP stopped a vehicle for driving erratically. The driver was determined to have consumed alcohol, and received a roadside driving prohibition. The vehicle was towed and the driver issued a ticket under the Motor Vehicle Act.
On March 19, 100 Mile House RCMP received a report from a local business of a patron fraudulently using a credit card and obtaining $475.00 worth of merchandise. Video surveillance was obtained of the suspect. The investigation into this matter is continuing.
On March 19, 100 Mile House RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch near the hydro office on Horse Lake Road. The lone female occupant was behind the wheel when officers arrived. The driver was determined to be impaired by alcohol, detained and returned to the detachment. Two breath samples were obtained of 240 and 250 mg%. Charges of Impaired Driving and Driving Over the Legal Limit are being recommended to Crown against a 50 year old female resident of 100 Mile House.
On March 21, 100 Mile House RCMP responded to a report of a residential fire on Biss Road in Forest Grove. The 100 Mile and Forest Grove Fire Departments were already on scene. A person coming to the residence noticed flames on the roof near the chimney, alerted the occupants and they got out safely. No one was injured. The residence was fully engulfed. The Fire Department is continuing to investigate the cause of the fire, but it is not considered suspicious.
