city_of_wlPress Release issued by the City of Williams Lake today:

There was a small sanitary sewer leakage from a blocked pipe on February 8, 2010 at approximately 10:00 pm at the Stampede Grounds. 

Approximately 200 litres of sanitary sewage spilled out of a manhole cover on to the ground. The spill has been contained and remediation measures have been taken.

The City is asking the public to stay away from this area until the barricades and the signage has been removed.

Remediation of the area is expected to take 2 weeks.
