Update: Motor vehicle accident on Soda Creek Road today

Williams Lake RCMP, Search and Rescue, and BC Ambulance responded to a motor vehicle collision today, 13 kilometers north of Williams Lake.
A north bound logging truck collided with a south bound pick-up. The 47 year old driver of the pick-up had to be extracted from the vehicle by Search and Rescue and was taken to Cariboo Memorial Hospital in serious condition. A 48 year old female passenger in the pick-up was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Black ice was a contributing factor in the collision.
This incident is under investigation by Cariboo Chilcotin Traffic Services and charges are pending against the driver of the log truck.
