Large commercial grow op dismantled

On Monday February 1st, 2010 Williams Lake RCMP executed a search warrant on a rural property on Valleyview Drive. Police located and dismantled a large commercial marijuana grow operation that was located within the house located on the property. As a result of the investigation, Police seized close to 1300 marijuana plants from the property.
Two people were arrested in conjunction with the marijuana grow operation. Police will be recommending charges of production of a controlled substance and possession of controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. Police are continuing to investigate this marijuana grow operation.
Williams lake RCMP would like to acknowledge the assistance of members of our community who provide valuable information for this investigation.
