Williams Lake Fire HallCouncil is being asked by acting CAO Geoff Goodall to pursue a request from the BC Ambulance Service to rent office space at the Williams Lake Fire Hall.

The BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) may be instituting a position of District Supervisor in Williams Lake, requiring a 12X12 office space. They would need 24-hour-a-day access.

The recently-completed ‘Fire Department Service Review’ listed recommendations to increase or add revenue to the Fire Department’s operations. It has been suggested that this office rental has the potential of bringing in $7200.00 a year.

Surinderpal Rathor said he's in favour of the recommendation, especially given how much money the City spent on the 'beautiful facility' and Council voted unanimously in favour.
