Head-on collision on Highway 20 early this morning

At 12:15 am this morning Williams Lake RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 20, about eight kilometres west of Williams Lake.
Investigation revealed that an eastbound pick-up truck collided head-on with a westbound logging truck.
The driver of the pickup truck was trapped in the vehicle and had to be removed with the assistance of the jaws of life. The driver was then transported to Cariboo Memorial Hospital for treatment of extensive injuries.
Police believe that alcohol was a factor in this crash and are continuing their investigation.
The driver of the logging truck was not injured.
