Intoxicated Female

The RCMP stopped a female who exhibited symptoms of impairment.  She provided a sample of breath on an approved screening device which failed.  The female was taken to the detachment where she refused to provide further samples of her breath. She was charged with the refusal and released on a Promise to Appear.

Sidewalk Driving

RCMP received a report that a male was driving erratically downtown (on sidewalks). Officers located and stopped the vehicle after it failed to stop for two stop signs.

Intoxicated Woman Found Wounded

An intoxicated female was found passed out near a local business covered in blood. When the caller stopped to offer help she ran to nearby apartments.  Officers followed the blood trail through the building and eventually located the female. She was found to be extremely intoxicated. The female was transported to the hospital for treatment to cuts on her right hand. The female refused to provide any information to the Police.

Assault In Local Hotel

A male caller reported another male was assaulting a female in the hallway of a local hotel. Police attended the scene, arrested the male then released him to appear in court at a later date.

Driving While Intoxicated

RCMP stopped a male who was driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver blew a fail on the approved screening device then later at the detachment provided two more samples of his breath. Both resulted in a reading over the legal limit.  The driver was released on an Appearance Notice to attend court at a later date.

RCMP received a report that a male was driving his ATV through a local restaurant drive-thru while intoxicated.  It was immediately apparent to Police that the driver was intoxicated due to the strong odour of liquor.  The driver refused to provide breath samples. He was released on a Promise to Appear for the refusal.

Female Assaulted

A female reported her common-law spouse had punched and slapped her and stomped on her foot. Police attended and arrested the male.  He was later released on an Undertaking to appear in court at a later date.

Man Threatens To Kill Woman

A female reports a male has been harassing her over the past 24 hours and threatened to kill her. The female also indicated the male rammed his truck into her parked car. Police arrested the male who continued to make threats to kill the female and uttered threats towards the police. The male has been held in custody to appear in court.
