A Williams Lake resident said that he had contact with ‘missing’ teen Davey Auger yesterday afternoon – or at least someone using Davey Auger’s Facebook account. The adult male said that Davey ‘sounded’ alive and well.

“His mom’s been in contact with him on Facebook, and on one of the posts I suggested that maybe the RCMP could track him through his Facebook profile,” he said. “Davey, or whoever is accessing his Facebook account, took offense to this and basically told me to mind my own business, just not in those words.” Since then the communication has completely degraded and open threats have been made to the gentleman.

“My feeling is that he doesn’t want to be found,” said the man who has received the threats.

“That has always been a consideration for us, as well,” advised Sergeant Rick Lebeuf of the Williams Lake RCMP this morning. “However, in order to eliminate him from the missing, someone who has had contact with Dave Auger has to come to us and let us know that he’s okay.”

In some of the additional conversation seen in the screen shots of the Facebook conversation where the Williams Lake man has been receiving threats from Davey Auger’s Facebook account, others, including Auger’s family members commented, “I talked to him on Facebook…,” and “… at least he’s OK.”
