RCMPshield_crest2On June 2, 2011 100 Mile House Traffic Services stopped a black Ford F 350 pickup truck with a male driver and female passenger traveling northbound on highway 97 near Lac La Hache. Both the truck and trailer were stolen from different locations in the lower mainland. The male driver and female passenger were both arrested and returned to the 100 Mile house RCMP Detachment. A quantity of cannabis shake, cocaine /heroin powder, crystal meth, heroin powder and cannabis plants were located on each person and in the vehicle.

The driver Curtis Schaaf of Surrey BC is charged with possession of stolen property, breach of probation, impaired operation of a motor vehicle, refusing to provide a sample, and four counts of possession of a controlled substance.

The passenger Rene Campbell also of Surrey BC, is charged with breach probation and four counts of possession of a controlled substance. Both persons were remanded in custody over the weekend and they will appear in court today in 100 Mile House. The investigation is ongoing.
