Ken Day from the UBC-Alex Fraser Research Forest spoke to a Special Committee of the Whole at City Hall Tuesday night, as the City’s consultant in the Community Forest project.

“The City and the Williams Lake Indian Band have a written agreement on moving forward on Community Forestry, and it has taken some time to reach the point where we can move forward together,” he said. “We are about to enter into the public consultation process, which is what I talked to City Council about last night. There is still a lot of work to do, but we hope to complete the Community Forest application early this winter.”
