The Board of Directors of the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association (CCCTA) is pleased to announce that Amy Thacker will step in as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as of August 2, 2010. Jason Griffin, Board Chair of the CCCTA, commented “our hiring committee was floored by the quality of applicants that we interviewed, but Ms. Thacker stood out as being the best applicant for our organization, region and stakeholders.”
“The Cariboo Chilcotin Coast region holds untapped potential and unlimited opportunities for excellence,” says Amy Thacker. “I look forward to meeting everyone and working together to realize the endless prospects within the CCCTA.”
Ms. Thacker brings with her a strong track record of bottom-line responsibility and financial stability, expertise in developing profitable partnerships and forging stakeholder relations and proficiency in creative solutions and innovative approaches. She recently won an award from the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association for “Best New Product” with the Gold Country GeoTourism Program, which included a number of our regional stakeholders.
Mr. Griffin said “the Board is very excited with the addition of Amy Thacker to our organization. She has demonstrated great enthusiasm for our region and we look forward to reaching out to our stakeholders.”
After Ms. Thacker’s arrival, the CCCTA will visit a number of communities to introduce the new CEO and explore partnership development.
