Statement from the Cariboo Regional District

CRD_logo_new The Cariboo Regional District has confirmed that legal counsel representing Electoral Area F Director, Duncan Barnett has filed a writ with the BC Supreme Court. The basis of the litigation is defamation.

Defendants in the action have been named as the Cariboo Regional District; Chief Administrative Officer, Janis Bell; former CRD Chair, Jon Wolbers; and former CRD Vice-Chair, Ronda Wilkins. The Regional District Board is supporting and indemnifying the persons named. The CRD’s lawyers will be providing defence and the necessary response.
