Amber alert issued - Daniel Sturm taken by father

Chilliwack BC: At approximately 12:55pm the Chilliwack RCMP were advised of a child abduction that had just occurred in the 46200 block of second Avenue in Chilliwack BC.

A 12 year old boy, Daniel Sturm, was taken forcible from his residence by his father. Daniel is described as white male, 5'0', 98 lbs, brown hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a stripped hoodie, black shorts, black and white runners and an orange t-shirt.

Police are looking for help from the public to locate Kenneth Morey, age 56. Morey is described as a white male, with grey hair and blue eyes, 5'10, 220 pounds. He was last seen driving a White 1990 Honda Accord with BC licence plate 045-NFM, but has now been changed to a Grey 2001 4 door Honda Accord. BC Licence plate 321-JKW. He left the residence with his son in this vehicle.

UPDATE at 2:00pm: Information has been received that the vehicle being driven has changed. It is now a Grey 2001 4 door Honda Accord. BC Licence plate 321-JKW. The vehicle now has 3 adult males plus Daniel.

Kenneth Morey was with two other males when the incident occurred. Police are still gathering further information and this website will be updated when more information in avaiable.

Police are now turning to the public for help. Anyone that see's Kennth Morey, Daniel Sturm, or the White Honda Accord are asked to call 911. There is some indication that Morey may have been headed to the Langley area. Poliec are concerned for the safety and well being of Daniel Strum and need your help.
