I hope I am not the only who finds the current political climate in B.C. ironic.

I saw a picture of Bill Vander Zalm protesting the HST the other day.

This is not the irony.

What I think is telling is the fact that former political figures such as Vander Zalm and Rafe Mair are now viewed as being moderates on the political spectrum.

There was a time when they were considered to be about as far to the right as you could go.

In itself, this goes to show us how radically to the right our current political leadership has shifted in the last decade.
