Letters - Letter to the Editor

letter_editorI recently took my grandson down to Scout Island public beach for a cool down swim. To my surprise the beach was covered in bird droppings.

I couldn't sit anywhere without sitting in bird poop.

This city should be ashamed of themselves. No wonder people don't want to visit this beach or our city. This beach could be a great place for families to come and spend an afternoon without breaking the bank. Sand, water and kids make for happy families -- especially those on a limited income.

I think Mayor Kerry Cook should come down for a swim and see how she likes it!

I am very disappointed with this city and I'm sure there are others who feel the same way.

Such a shame to let a great family place lay empty because of all the bird droppings.

Go check it out, see for yourself.
