Letters - Letter to the Editor

letter_editorLiberal MLA Pat Bell is showing signs of desperation with his latest hypocritical and deceptive attacks on Adrian Dix and the official opposition. Everyone knows you can't trust the Liberals, especially when it comes to tax policy. Remember the Liberal HST election lie?

Considering how poor the Liberal record on the economy has been, it's rich that they would cast stones when it comes to managing government finances.

Current economic indicators such as job creation and retail sales show B.C. is lagging behind the other provinces.

What's worse, while the economy struggles, Christy Clark’s Liberals are piling costs onto families for everything thanks to the HST and increased fees such as hydro rates, ferry fees and medical service premiums.

An inconvenient fact for Minister Bell is that economic growth during ten years of a Liberal government has only been 2.4 per cent compared to 3.0 per cent during the previous New Democrat term.

The Liberals know British Columbians don't trust them anymore. That’s why they’re slinging mud now.

Adrian Dix and the New Democrats believe B.C. families shouldn't shoulder the entire burden and that everyone needs to pay their fair share.

Bruce Ralston, MLA

New Democrat finance critic
