Letters - Letters - General

031610_rail_tiesHi all:

If you are interested in the issue of how rail-ties are being chipped and burned in Williams Lake, check out my blog for next few days.

http://robhigginsblog.blogspot.com/

I've been concerned about this issue for several years (since a visit to what was then known as EPCOR) but have only recently begun to collect information about this problem that has caused me to become more and more concerned.  On Wednesday I will release a link to an online petition to both city council and CN Rail requesting an end to the chipping and storage of rail-ties behind the Station House gallery (my blog posts over the next couple of days will explain why).

I've been unsure how to get this information out to the public in Williams Lake because the information needs to be broken up into digestible portions, so I thought I would see how well blogging and social networking could be used to spread the word.

Please feel free to forward the link to any groups in town that you may feel are interested.
