Lake Superior State University's (LSSU) Word Banishment Committee has nominated 15 words for retirement from the English language in a list released on Thursday, Dec 31, 2009 including Chillax, App, Tweet and Friend. 

Every year, LSSU in Sualt Sainte Marie, Michigan, creates a nominations list of over-used words based on public nominations.
