Entrepreneurial youngster Brian ‘Buddy’ Kipling set up a lemonade stand at the corner of Pigeon and Western Avenues this weekend.

The rising mercury made lemonade very popular. “At 6:30 Saturday evening we spotted a police car with all lights flashing at the corner,“ said Sandra Abbott, a passerby.  "We were delighted to discover it was two RCMP officers having a chat with two very young entrepreneurs at their lemonade stand. Each officer was enjoying a cold cup of lemonade."

Buddy had borrowed the money from his Grampa to get his small business started and was able to repay that in the first day, earning $53 on Saturday and another $34 today. Buddy said he was originally hoping to put the proceeds toward the fair in town, but that didn`t work out, so he wasn`t sure what he was going to use his hard-earned earnings for.
