RCMP making community connections
| Human interest |
Making positive connections with First Nations communities is something that both the Williams Lake and the Alexis Creek detachment work to achieve: something that was very evident yesterday at the National Aboriginal Day celebration at Thompson Rivers University.
(Auxiliary Constable Mickey Crosina, Constable Simon Courtorelle, Constable Rebecca Munro and Constable Kevin Neufeld greeted visitors from a variety of First Nations communities to talk about pursuing a career with the RCMP.)
Constable Rebecca Munro is from the Alexis Creek Detachment, and takes every opportunity to take part in community activities. She will be on the road this year on the ride from Nemiah to Williams Lake—riding three days on the eight-day ride.
