This photo of natural 'snow balls' was submitted by Delaine Randall, who took the picture from the front of their home near Rose Lake.

"We woke up in the morning and there were three inches of fresh, powdery snow in the yard, which was covered with these little snowballs formed and blown by the wind," she said. "They ranged from an inch in size to one in the back yard that was 4-5 inches.

"We called them 'winter's crop circles.'"
