Human interest
The Caribou have returned to the Puntzi Lake area.

Photo of Caribou taken in the Puntzi Lake area recently.

The Caribou usually live in the protected high meadows, but often spend their days on the lake in February.

"The Chilanko Forks Post Office has a photo from a couple of years ago that has more than 100 Caribou grazing on the lake. They are breath-taking to see," said Janice Coates, proprietor of the Woodland Caribou Resort.  "We told our grand-children this is where Santa's Reindeer come to vacation after the stress of Christmas night."    This photo was taken by 'Milt'.
