Scrapping for students

Scrapbookers gathered this weekend at Maranatha Christian School to fundraise for Grade 10-12 students at the school, who will travel to Greece and Italy in March. Creativity and imagination ran wild as the scrapbookers enjoyed the opportunity to exchange ideas and techniques, as well as contribute to the students' upcoming trip.

There will be 29 students and adults in the group traveling to Italy and Greece during Spring Break, visiting places like the Sistine Chapel, the Coliseum, Vatican City and the Oracle of Delphi.
The scrapbooking weekend was organized by Joyce Lawrence, and scrapbookers enjoyed snacks, food and fresh, delicious treats prepared and served to them by students in the group headed to Europe.
The final stage of the Marantha trip fundraising will be a night of Dinner Theatre on February 12 and 13 at the school. A delectible, romantic meal will be served to guests, who will also enjoy a program of music and theatre guaranteed to delight and entertain. For more information about tickets, phone the school at 250-392-7410.
