Defeat is not an option 

I have read stories of the many amazing accounts of people who were faced with a challenge to win against all odds and to conquer the unconquerable---and they conquered. In every case, the people involved refused to accept defeat as an option. In each heart was activated the power of faith and determination that would not let them quit. 

There are those of you today who face difficult if not apparently insurmountable obstacles in your lives. Physical, emotional, financial, circumstantial: these mountains loom up before us and we cannot even see the top, let alone the other side. 

What talent must you have? What strings can be pulled? What amazing supernatural fortitude must be mustered in order to overcome the odds? The answer remains both uncomplicated and well within your grasp: simple faith. Faith that there is another side; Faith that there is a way out; Faith that there is a God who loves you and will walk with you and guide you to your goal. And with that faith, comes a determination that declares defeat is not an option. 

We often hear the expression, “where there is a will there is a way”. Faith remains the fire that fuels the will and makes the way. “Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. (Hebrews 11:1) Faith sets its focus on an unseen hope and perceives that hope as reality. To every person is given a measure of faith and activating that faith will open doors that will open no other way. 

I encourage you today to activate this unsuspected, motivating power that lies within your own heart today. Your obstacles may loom large but there is a gift of God called faith that will allow you to see right through them to your goal on the other side. Lay claim to this faith and become one of the many who march forward declaring, “Defeat is NOT an option!”
