The Cariboo Chilcotin Partners for Literacy and Cariboo Regional District Library are offering ‘Focus on Financial Literacy’- a series of free workshops at the Williams Lake Library from 6:00-8:30pm. An overview of these workshops will take place on Tuesday, January 17 at 7:00pm at the library.
Anyone who can use support and information to help make good decisions when it comes to juggling debts and bills, saving for the future and surviving until the next paycheque is due, is encouraged to attend.
The once-a-month workshops will run from February until June 2012 and will include topics like budgeting and money management, credit and debt management, income tax, home financing, financial planning and smart consumerism
The free workshops are supported by a grant from the TD Financial Literacy Grant Fund and will be facilitated by Kirsten Stark, Financial Literacy Project Coordinator for the Cariboo Chilcotin Partners for Literacy.
