Singing for Santa at the Legion

By Savannah Nadeau
The annual Christmas kids’ party at the Branch 139 Royal Canadian Legion today gave local children the opportunity to hear excellent live music, enjoy Christmas crafts, face painting and lunch—not to mention a visit from a big jolly guy in a red suit with presents for everyone.
(Santa made a special visit today to the Legion where Christmas elf-helper Danielle Schultz helped him pass out presents.)
Legion volunteers helped the children create a variety of fun Christmas crafts, as well as festive face-painting that included snowflakes, snowmen and Christmas trees.
(Megan Amos went home today with a special Christmas accessory: a beautiful snowflake on her face.)
The Legion has had a busy season to date, with small business Christmas parties, 'Steak Night', birthday parties and a pool tournament during the past two weekend.
As snow felt outside today, party participants inside enjoyed hotdogs, cookies, juice and hot chocolate, while Cindy Nadeau from ‘A Perfect Match’ provided live Christmas music for the kids. She invited kids to join her on stage for lively seasonal tunes.
(Cindy Nadeau and Whitney Ash sang ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’ as a grand entrance for Jolly Old St. Nick.)
