An interfaith symposium in Williams Lake next week will give local communities a unique opportunity to hear religious scholars from a wide range of faiths, and also to participate in questions, answers and discussions.
The free event will include refreshments and will be moderated by Williams Lake City Councillor and Deputy Mayor Surinderpal Rathor.
The religious scholars include Frank J. Austin from Aboriginal faith, Lotte Weber from Buddhism, Reverend Dave Blakely from Christianity, Gian Singh Kotli from Sikhism and Muhammad Afzal Mirza from Islam.

The conference is hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, BC Canada (AMJ), in collaboration with the World Religions Conference, and is being organized with cooperation from Williams Lake Alliance Church, Sikh Temple Williams Lake, and Gendun Drubpa Study Group.
All are welcome to attend the conference, which will be held next Monday, September 13 at the Cariboo Memorial Complex from 6-10pm.
