Thursday night the Performances in the Park featured Paul Filek, Oren Barter, and Soupbone, who each entertained approximately 600 people in Boitanio Park. The event was sponsored by Scotia Bank, was enhanced by the MC skills of Harry Jennings and the sound-system prowess of Paul Maas from the Guitar Seller.

Performances in the Park is a community-based non-profit program which focuses on showcasing local artists and musicians, in addition to hosting entertainers from around the province.  Over the past 5 years, Performances in the Park has been successfully drawing crowds from Williams Lake and area, providing an opportunity for residents to enjoy free local entertainment throughout the summer.  Performances start at 6:30pm.

The continuing line up includes:

July 22            Kira & Earthbound / My Wife’s Quartet 

July 29            Lava Lamp & the Mood Poodles / Drum & Bell Tower

August 5       The Cat & the Rat & the Hat / Art Pruce

August 12     Carmen & Dena / Arlen Part 

August 19     Melody & Craig / Al-Lisa Spirit Song

August 26     Still Before Nowhere / Colin Easthope
