MADD Williams Lake receives generous donation
| Events |
Pam Herman Vice President of MADD Williams Lake Chapter received a cheque from Paula Dutour, representative of Williams Lake and District Credit Union.
The generous donation from the Williams Lake and District Community Investment Fund will allow the Williams Lake Chapter of MADD to pay $50 towards the first 60 plaques purchased to honour people who have been killed or injured by impaired driving. The plaques will be placed along the walkway in the MADD Memorial Garden in Boitanio Park. The grand opening of the garden is May 29th at 11am, to be followed by a ‘Strides for Change’ walk through downtown to Community Policing where there will be a free BBQ and the MADD annual general meeting. Anyone wanting to purchase a plaque may pick up forms at Community Policing or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
MADD WL would also like to acknowledge and thank United Concrete and Gravel for their generous contribution of all the concrete for the garden, Cariboo Curb and Gutter who laid the concrete as a donation, and the City of Williams Lake and their employees, especially Kevin Goldfuss for his expertise and Joan Flaspohler for an extremely beautiful design for the garden.
