Residents gathered yesterday in the Gibraltar Room to enjoy a state-of-the-art experience during.the Olympic Men's Gold Metal Hockey game. The Gibraltar Room Improvement Project, a provincial initiative, was funded by the Olympic Paralympic Live Site Program.
"We have received numerous positive reviews from Williams Lake residents that took advantage of the opportunity to watch the Olympics in the Gibraltar Room," said Kim Emsley-Leik, Events & Marketing Coordinator for the City of Williams Lake. "At the time the system was put in, the technology was state of the art. It certainly made watching many of the events, including downhill skiing, bob sledding, and of course, the men's Gold Medal hockey game, a memorable experience."
