 d Quintet Plus join musical forces to present an evening of varied instrum
 ental and vocal music.  This year\, on May 25th 7:00pm at St. Andrews Unit
 ed Church\, we present   “That Swing Thing”   for your listening pleas
 ure.</p>\n<p>Several original choral arrangements have been written so tha
 t Quintet Plus can join the Cariboo Gold Dance Band in performance.</p>\n<

  Terry Fox\, Steve Fonyo\, and Rick Hansen\, entitled\, 'Terry\, Steve\, a
 nd Rick\,' (written by Rocco Catalano) will be premiered by Quintet Plus a

 p>The Performers :</p>\n<p><span style='text-decoration: underline\;'><str
 ong>Cariboo Gold Dance Band:</strong></span> A group of some 15 musicians 
 and 2 vocalists who share a love for the swing music of the 1940’s and 5
 0’s.  Their music includes tunes from each of the following musical genr
 es including: Swing\, Dixie\, Latin\, Blues\, Jazz\, Broadway hits as well
  as some Western pieces.  Their musical director is Rocco Catalano.</p>\n<
 p><span style='text-decoration: underline\;'><strong>Quintet Plus:</strong
 ></span> A local choral group composed of mixed voices.  We are a non-audi
 tioned choir and welcome ALL voices\, young and “young at heart” alike
 .  We sing everything from Bach to the Beatles and then some.  Tjeir music
 al director is Debbie Browning.</p>

 Annual Spring Roundup\, May 26 and 27. </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>
 \n<p>The event begins Saturday with pre-registration at A&W in Williams La
 ke at 1:00pm for a Roundup Poker Run.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>There will be a S
 teak BBQ at 5:00pm at the Stampede Grounds\, followed by a 7:00pm Thunder 
 Mountain Speedway Cruise.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Sunday will be the Lakers Car
  Club Show and Shine on 3rd Avenue downtown. Gates will open at 8:30am and
  the show begins at 10:00am. There will be an awards presentation at 3:30p
 m with 66 trophies for 50 classes. There is a $10.00 participant entry fee
  and they will have raffles\, goodie bags\, door prizes\, dash plaques for
  the first 200 entries and a kid's coloring contest\, as well as a Ladies'
  Only Poker Run downtown.</p>\n<p>Finally\, there will also be a Children'
 s Festival at Boitanio Park hosted by the Child Development Centre on Sund
 ay.</p>
