Fawn Povelofskie is a registered hearing instrument practitioner at ‘Hear Clear’ in Williams Lake. Her beautiful new office/clinic is located at #77B 2nd Avenue North and is comfortable, modern, professional and wheelchair accessible.
She fits hearing aids, does hearing tests, provides custom-molded ear plugs for work, swimming and sleeping. She also does noise modification on hearing aids and accessories and recently added qualitative fit testing for dust masks, medical masks and respirators.
The full-time, custom care that Fawn provides ranges from industry and business to individuals: hands-on, personalized service for people 18 years and older.
“You don’t need a referral to come and see me, but I do get them from doctors: if you can’t hear properly your local doctor can send you here,” she said.
Fawn was born and raised in Williams Lake and said that she is happy to be working in her chosen field in her home town. “I feel like my patients are my extended family,” she said.
“We appreciate and care about all our clients and work to provide the most comprehensive, professional care possible. I really want to focus on exceptional health and patient care by building relationships with my clients and explaining everything to them so they understand what is going on with their hearing,” she said.
“It is amazing working with each client and seeing their reactions when they can hear again.”
She also explained that if you are exposed to everyday noises it is recommended you have your hearing assessed every two years. “For people with conditions like tinnitus or people are exposed to a lot of noise, hearing should be assessed every year,” she explained.
She added that many people remember to go to the dentist, doctor or optometrist but often forget about their hearing. “A regular check of your hearing allows you to find out if you are developing hearing problems,” she continued. “If hearing impairment is detected early, its progress can be prevented.”
At ‘Hear Clear’ a complimentary hearing test is provided to anyone who is 65 years or older.
“I am always ready and willing to answer any questions or concerns a client may have about their hearing. If someone has questions about hearing or would like to view a variety of hearing aids, I offer a free consultation that can be booked at any time.”
