Any event is made sweeter with a unique, festive candy bouquet from Jana Ross at ‘Sweet Arrangements.’ You can find things like a pirate ship, a box of roses, baby bottle decor, a bottle of wine, a delicate tea cup, balloon arrangements: all tailor-made, unusual and festive.

Sweet Arrangements opened its door as a business in January. “I wanted to catch the Valentine’s Day market, and the first thing I did was set up a table in Boitanio Mall,” Jana said. “I also did a bridal show and will be at the Rotary Exhibition this weekend.”

050312_sweet_rosesJana said that she really enjoys the design aspect—creating unique, fun, custom bouquets and centerpieces for individuals or groups from kids to seniors. She even designs bouquets for diabetics or for specific tastes.

“This is a way to send a ‘sweet’ message to someone who matters,” Jana said. “These are special gifts for things like birthdays, baby arrivals, anniversaries, weddings or retirements—any event that you want to celebrate.”

She explained that what inspires her for designing her expanding range of pieces is imagining who will receive them as gifts—a couple celebrating an anniversary, brand new parents, a teenage birthday, graduation or a special thank-you for a staff room. She said that she is starting to design fruit bouquets in time for Mother’s Day, and that veggie bouquets are on the horizon.

This is a way to give a special treat to someone—an expression of love and caring,” she continued. “This is something your loved ones may never buy for themselves, but which means the world coming from you.”

Jana said that customer service is at the centre of every ‘Sweet Arrangement', adding that ‘Sweet’ means more than sugar—it means ‘this is sweet!’

“I never say ‘no,’” she said. “When someone comes to me with a new idea and says, ‘do you make those?’ I say, ‘I do now.’”
