The Williams Lake Water Factory on South Mackenzie Avenue is one place where you get more than you pay for. Besides the great deal on reverse osmosis bottled water, you get friendly, fun customer service that ensures that every customer is a repeat customer, and many are customers for life.
The water is processed and bottled on site. They have a convenient, 3-bottle refill station for quick, affordable customer refills of 18.9 litre bottles, as well as deliveries. The Water Factory delivers water from Williams Lake to 100 Mile House and all points in between.

When Robert Gudbranson and Gwen Balmer became the sole owners in 2008, the Water Factory had been in business for more than 20 years. “We upgraded and renovated everything from top to bottom,” Gwen said, “and made sure that the store was always clean, fresh and friendly.”They sell water accessories, coolers and dispensers and parts and do repairs on both commercial and residential coolers. You can also find organic spices from Oddball Organics, and Gwen said that you can always get your ‘cookie fix’ when it’s Girl Guide cookie season.
One of the unique water accessories on display at the Water Factory are fabric dispenser covers that are made locally. There is a huge range of colours and designs that turn your water dispenser into a work of art.

“Come in help yourself to a fresh, healthy ‘hello,’” Gwen continued. “We’re polite, friendly and committed to customer service, and people leave here happy.”
The Water Factory dispenses community support at many events and for many organizations, including elementary schools, Relay for Life, Girl Guides, Dry Grad, soccer, the RCMP, First Nations film crews, Williams Lake Ladies Golf, Jubilee Care, Curling Club, the Williams Lake Stampede, Rod and Gun Club, the Cariboo Cowgirls Drill Team and Daisy Day Care.
The Water Factory is clean and above standard and makes sure that the water is perfect. “It’s more than clean, more than fresh,” Gwen explained. “It’s consistently checked and tested for quality.”
Their high standards extend to impeccable customer service. “If people walk out of here with a smile on their face, they’ll come back,” she said. “We have jobs because we have customers---great service, great water, humour and friendliness will always bring them back.”
