Beginning riders, seasoned riders, Western riders, English riders, competitive riders or working riders—she can help you find what you need. 

“I sell anything horse-related, including blankets, grooming supplies, riding equipment, clothing and apparel for riders, safety equipment and footwear for all ages,” said owner Amber Nustad. “I have gear for men, women and children, teens and seniors---all riding levels and budgets.” 

She explained that one of the most important things for riders right off the bat is proper riding boots. “Proper footwear is key---for one thing, it’s a safety issue. You want a shoe or boot that protects your feet on the horse and on the ground.” 

Another very important piece of riding equipment, according to Amber, is a helmet. “I think any rider, young or old, should wear a helmet. If you want your kids to wear one, you need to set a good example,” she explained. “I’ve had enough falls myself to know what serious injuries can occur. You’re dealing with an animal with prey instincts, and when those instincts kick in, that horse will do whatever it has to do. You need to do whatever you have to do to be safe.”  

Besides an enormous range of gear and equipment for you and your horse, she also has herbs for horses, to maintain and improve their health and condition. “I feel that horses are very simple creatures. In the natural world they would go in search of the plants that would heal them, or satisfy a particular need, a discomfort or a pain. I go back to nature as far as possible, and if I can give them relief and health benefits naturally, I think that’s better.” 

She said that she got started with the herbs for horses when she lived on the coast, near a woman who provided natural supplements for horses. “I wanted to take this a step further and I started researching herbs. I wanted to be able to give horses all the vitamins and minerals they need, and help with specific ailments.”

“There isn’t much that I can’t get for you—I carry some stock, and our catalogue selection is excellent,” she said. “I can usually have what you need in two weeks.”

I started my shop to make sure that no matter how you ride, you have a prompt, efficient way to get the gear you need,” she continued.
