Sugar Cane TreadPro on hand to helpBy LeRae Haynes

Customers at Sugar Cane TreadPro Tire Centre can expect more than quality tires and the convenience of a brand new 9-bay shop with state-of-art tire alignment equipment: they can also expect high-octane customer service from a dedicated staff of professionals.

The tire centre, 100% owned by the Williams Lake Indian Band, opened its doors last fall. There is a 9-bay shop, including a convenient drive-through bay for logging trucks and large equipment, as well as trained and qualified technicians and 3-D state-of-the-art alignment equipment.

Customers can get tires for cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, ATVs, logging and dump trucks, lawn mowers, trailers and a range of heavy-duty equipment. There is a certified auto mechanic on site, shuttle service for customers, and technicians who can do complete vehicle inspections, oil changes, brake repairs and mechanical repairs.

“The shop went up in four weeks,” said Manager Rick White. “The economic downturn worked in our favour---there were skilled local contractors looking for work. We hired local contractors, purchased as much of the equipment locally as possible and hired local people.”

Rick has worked in the automotive industry for many years, and besides a wide range of skills and experience, he also brings enthusiasm for stellar customer service.

“Making sure that customers are completely satisfied is top of our list---we make sure that we listen to what our customers want and help them get what they need,” he said. “We want to help them save money and get the most out of their vehicles.”

He said that one of the best things about this new career direction for him is his crew at TreadPro. “I love going to work every day---these guys are great to work with and inspire me with their hard work and their willingness to go ‘above and beyond’ to provide excellent service for our customers,” he explained.

Sugar Cane TreadPro is also a used oil recycle centre where customers can leave old engine oil to be recycled.

From the family car to industry equipment, the staff at TreadPro can meet your needs and get you safely back on the road. “We offer customers hands-on information about repairs on their vehicles,” Rick said. “We will invite you into the shop show you exactly where your vehicle stands and what it needs to run at its best.”
