The last stand

After four months, we are at the last stage performance for the remaining three 'Idol' hopefuls. The contestants picked one song and the judges picked the other one. For the most part, the Idols picked well, but it seemed very clear who were going to be the last two standing tomorrow.
Casey James started us off with 'OK, it’s Alright' by Eric Hutchinson. His vocals are always good, but even after all this time, he still lacks that 'WOW' factor for me.
Sticking close to her genre, Crystal Bowersox sang, 'Come to My Window' by Melissa Etheridge. She's very consistent and I think she's talented, but this performance wasn't her best work.
Last but not least, Lee Dewyze sang Lynrd Skynrd's 'Simple Man'. The judges, audience and I all agree that round one, goes to Lee. It was a stellar performance that I still remember hours later.
Randy and Kara chose Casey James' second song, 'Daughters' by John Mayer. This was better than his first, by far, but I don't think it will keep him from being eliminated.
For Crystal, Ellen picked 'Maybe I'm Amazed' by Paul McCartney. No instrument and a different style of song had Crystal out of her comfort zone, but she nailed it and impressed the judges and the crowd. Unless the voters have completely lost their minds, she has cemented her position in the top two.
Lee closed out the show with Simon's pick of 'Hallelujah' by Leonard Cohen. This was by far the best performance and rendition of this song that I have heard so far. When I felt the tears fill my eyes during this song, I knew that I was looking at the next American Idol.
