The Votes Are In

The show started with a 'trailer' from the new movie 'Clash of the Titans' and an interesting play on the theme of eliminating Idols and the content of the movie---“Who will accept their fate?” “Who will be defeated?” A bit 'cheesy' but none-the-less effective.
Ruben Studdard from season two started off the entertainment with his original song, 'Don't Make 'Em Like That No More'. The 'Golden Teddy Bear' seemed happy to be back on the Idol stage and his performance was well received.

One by one and sometimes two by two, Ryan had the contestants stand up to receive their fate. To add an extra twist, he questioned them and the judges about their last performances and the judges’ critiques. The tension and laughter rose a bit when Simon told Ryan that this wasn't the Oprah Show and to ‘Get on with it!’ I think Ryan does this on purpose to push Simon's buttons, because without this extra little drama, the audience would probably fall asleep or lose interest.
When Siobhan was told she was safe, she burst into tears—so convinced that she was going home after the judges were hard on her last night. That little bit of 'realism' endeared her to me a little more, when previously I was finding her a bit annoying.
Katey, Tim and Didi ended up in the bottom three. Usher was up next performing a single from his album, 'Raymond vs. Raymond'.
Katey stayed safe and crazily enough, so did Tim! I'm pretty sure the 'teeny-boppers' are voting him in because he's cute, otherwise he would have been gone weeks ago.
I was disappointed to see Didi go as she has a lot of talent and personality, especially compared to Tim Urban. I'm sure we haven't heard or seen the last of Didi Benami!
Enjoy your Easter weekend and see you next week!
