012512_stationhouseATricia Sellmer, Alexander Forbes, Henry Small and Tina Moore “boppin’ with Mr. Mynah” and “Children’s Art Collection” will open at The Station House Gallery on February 2nd, 2012 at 5:00pm, and will run until February 25.

Four Canadian artists teamed up to produce an “exhibition in a tube” that can be shipped to communities aboard the Greyhound bus. boppin’ with Mr. Mynah is a playful exhibition comprised of ten large scale paintings on canvas by accomplished artist Tricia Sellmer, senyru poetry (similar to Japanese haiku) by Alexander Forbes, set to music by Henry Small and sung by Tina Moore. The show reads like a filmstrip of rich colours and vibrant brushwork. With the help of the mood enhancing music, viewers are easily drawn into the world of Mr. Mynah. This multimedia show, exhibited in the main gallery of the Station House is one not to be missed.

Children’s Art Collective is a group show is comprised of work by local youths created during summer art courses. Come out and see what the next generation of Cariboo artists has to offer.

Gallery hours are Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Admission is free or by donation.
