News

Arts and Culture organizations as well as area residents are encouraged to provide input to the new Central Cariboo Arts and Culture Plan.

Input can be given by attending the upcoming community meetings in Williams Lake.  On August 17 a meeting will take place at 1:00 pm at the Northern Shuswap Tribal Council Office, located at 17 South First Avenue.  The final community meeting will be on August 20 at 6:00 pm at the Pioneer Complex, located at 351 Hodgson Road.

Stonefield Consulting will be hosting these meetings as part of the consultation process to develop the new Central Cariboo Arts and Culture Service Delivery Plan. There will be two meeting formats; one for arts and culture stakeholders (members of arts and culture organizations), and the second for the general public.

If you are unable to attend any of these meetings, please take the time to share your views by filling in one of the Arts and Culture Plan surveys.  Surveys are available by contacting Stonefield Consulting, or by visiting the City of Williams Lake website at www.williamslake.ca or the Cariboo Regional District website at www.cariboord.bc.ca.

There are also a number of facilities that will have surveys on location including:

Clarke’s General Store in Horsefly
Wildwood Foods
Valley General Store in Likely
150 Mile Centre
Williams Lake Library
City Hall in Williams Lake
Cariboo Regional District in Williams Lake
Northern Shuswap Tribal Council in Williams Lake

Surveys will be available until Friday August 21, 2009.
