123109_tylenolHealth Canada is advising consumers not to use TYLENOL® Arthritis Pain Caplet 100 count bottles, with the distinctive red EZ-OPEN CAP, which is being recalled in the U.S. after consumer reports of an unusual mouldy, musty, or mildew-like odour that has been associated with nausea, stomach pain, vomiting and diarrhea.

The odour has been linked to trace amounts ofthe chemical 2,4,6-tribromoanisole in the product. Only TYLENOL® ArthritisPain Caplet 100’s are affected by this recall.

This product is not authorized for sale in Canada and has not been found in the Canadian marketplace, but it may have been brought into the country by travellers or purchased over the Internet.
