New appointment for MLA Donna Barnett

In Victoria today Cariboo-Chilcotin MLA Donna Barnett was appointed the Parliamentary Secretary for Rural communities.
MLA Barnett says her experience dealing with the effects of the pine beetle with the Pine Beetle Action Committee, as well as 18 years as the Mayor of 100 Mile House makes her uniquely suited for the position, especially considering the challenges still faced by the forest industry.
She was formerly the parliamentary secretary for Rural Economic Development under the Jobs, Tourism, and Innovation Minister.
