Station House Gallery auction and garage sale

On Sunday the Station House Gallery hosted an auction and garage sale to help raise funds.
The gallery was put in a difficult financial position with the recent cuts to funding. The community responded by donating many items that were put into different categories.
The higher priced items were upstairs, where potential bidders put their secret bid on paper and into a brown paper bag. The highest bidder received that item for the amount offered. Downstairs tickets could be purchased for items. These tickets went into brown paper bags, and the ticket drawn won that item. Garage sale items were ticketed with a purchase price, with smaller items offered up by donation. There were many unique items available from local crafts to paintings, prints and handcrafted clothing to services offered by local businesses. Station House manager Diane Toop is grateful to those who donated items as well as those who came out and gave their support to this cause.
From artwork to antique linens, there were many unique items available.
