The 16th Annual Lakers Car Club Spring Roundup got off to a great start on Saturday as 27 cars met at the A&W parking lot and embarked on the Poker Run. Club members said that they had received over 100 pre-registrations for Sunday's Show and Shine, sold out of the Barbeque dinners at the Stampede grounds Saturday evening and had 42 cars make the run up to Chucks Thunder Mountain Speedway for the Cruise Night show Lap.

Classic and muscle cars were lined up through the Thunder Mountain Speedway (Williams Lake) pit area, on to Bond Lake Road all the way to Highway 20, a most impressive sight. The cars were lined up through the track pit area, on to Bond Lake Road all the way to Highway 20; an impressive sight. The club members did a lap of the track and then back to the Stampede grounds for the drive-in movie on the portable screen supplied by Fresh Air Cinema. The feature flick, 'Transformers' , was accompanied by a good sound system but movie goers could listen to the movie through their vehicle stereo systems, as well.
