wl_credit_unionWilliams Lake and District Credit Union held its Annual General Meeting on Monday, April 26, 2010, at which time the results of its 2010 Election of Directors were announced. 

Three positions were available in 2010, each for a three year term. At the close of nominations, one nomination had been received for each position.  Accordingly, at the Annual General Meeting, incumbents John Dressler (Williams Lake), Michelle Swalwell (100 Mile House) and Donna Mikkelson (Bella Coola Valley) were declared to be elected by acclamation for three year terms. 

The Williams Lake and District Credit Union Board consists of nine members who collectively represent three branches and their surrounding communities.  Directors are normally elected for three year terms on a rotating basis.  Any member in good standing over the age of 19 may be nominated for available positions. Elections are conducted by mail ballot prior to each Annual General Meeting.  The Board meets on a monthly basis to direct the affairs of the credit union. 

Williams Lake and District Credit Union is locally owned and provides a full range of financial products and services. With branches in Williams Lake, 100 Mile House and Bella Coola, the credit union serves over 11,000 member/owners and is committed to the well-being of its communities, providing support in the form of financial donations and volunteer hours to many local initiatives.
